The Institute investigates how to prevent governed meaning from being reinterpreted as it passes through the many technical forms used to implement consequential rules and standards.

Current work

Canonical semantic representation

Holotype is being developed as the canonical block-level representation, with Gloss binding inline meaning. The research asks how authoring form, semantic identity, validation, and projection can remain distinct without allowing meaning to drift.

Validation and semantic graphs

The work examines structural validation under closed-world rules and deterministic lowering into target-neutral semantic graphs that can be stored and queried without becoming a second source of truth.

Generated outputs and conformance evidence

Foundries are intended to derive code, documentation, tests, and other media from governed meaning. The research concern is not merely generation, but whether every result remains semantically faithful to, reproducible from, traceable to, and checkable against the same source.

Change impact and bounded trials

A practical first trial should begin with one small, consequential rule set and evaluate declared-design evidence. It should test traceability, ambiguity detection, repeatability, and the effect of an authorised change. It should not present a declaration as proof of runtime behaviour or security effectiveness.

Publication policy

The Institute will publish position papers, specifications, and research notes when their public artifacts are ready for review. Planned titles are not presented as publications, and design propositions are not presented as empirical results.
