About Paperhat Institute
Status
Paperhat Institute is the working name of Paperhat’s research and specification project. It is not currently a separate incorporated organisation, nonprofit, charity, standards body, regulator, or certifying authority.
Purpose
The project develops and communicates the principles, assumptions, limitations, and open questions behind Paperhat’s approach to preserving governed meaning across deterministic projections. Its intended audience includes public agencies, standards owners, engineers, researchers, and others responsible for translating consequential rules into operational systems.
Relationship to Paperhat
Paperhat is the company, trial, and partnership surface. Paperhat Institute is its research surface. The company seeks bounded external validation; the Institute makes the underlying research programme inspectable.
Limits
The Institute does not claim government endorsement, independent authority, completed products, published empirical validation, or an existing customer trial. Position papers and specifications will be identified as published only when their public artifacts are available for review.
